Summerhill is dedicated to developing, implementing and managing public engagement and market transformation programs that lead to measurable improvements in energy savings.
Health Canada’s Hazardcheck is a public engagement campaign to raise awareness among Canadian homeowners of the health risks that exist in their everyday lives and the simple actions they can take to reduce the risks. The purpose of the Hazardcheck guide is to educate Canadians about the links between health and their living environment, and to provide general advice on what people can do to reduce their exposure to environmental health risks that may be present in their homes. The guide also provides information on what parents can do to create healthy surroundings for their children. The goal of the Hazardcheck campaigns is to distribute the guides and inform Canadians about indoor environmental hazards like radon, mould, carbon monoxide and lead.
