Position Title: Associate Project Manager

Description: • Manage the overall coordination, status reporting, financials, schedules and stability of project-oriented work efforts, ensures that project goals and objectives are met within agreed upon time, scope and resource requirements
• Assessing skills and identifying training needs of project team
• Coordinates work performed by IT staff and internal customers/ partners by defining project requirements, performing feasibility and needs / impact assessments
• Develops detailed project plans and manages all implementation process s including resource allocation, progress tracking, testing documentation, training, "warm handoff' and on-time delivery within budget constraints
• Assists in daily coordination of projects including preparing and maintaining project plans, budgets, and staffing requirements
• Tracks progress
• identifies obstacles
• Assist higher level PMs with the development of communication materials for project teams
• Performs some administrative tasks such as arranging meetings, developing agendas, and preparing progress reports
• Applies the essential knowledge base for an IT professional
• Applies the essential IT principles and analytical rules that guide their application in practical situations
• Able to perform basic/ standard IT procedures and protocols
• Relies on buddy system/coach to demonstrate applied skills and to guide non-routine actions
• Operates under direct supervision
• Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
• PMI Certification, or comparable experience, preferred
• Limited exposure to Project Management, has ability to assist on small to intermediate projects
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Limited experience with business writing

Problem Solving / Resolution: Resolves simple problems per standard troubleshooting procedures, based upon education and using problem resolution systems, resources, and tools

Business Acumen: Knows the major products, processes & services of the business

Interpersonal Interactions: Serves as a source of specific and essential information and provides ideas to define, clarify, enlarge upon, or sharpen procedures, capabilities, or product specifications

Project Management: Plans & manages own work effort. Apprises project manager of status, schedule variances & outstanding issues

Resource Estimation: Estimates time and effort required to complete assigned tasks for self and others

Customer Relationship Management: Accountable for addressing customer needs through individual action or with a ''warm handoff' Contributes to meetings with customers that are led by more experienced IT professionals
