NOC Support Analyst – Contract – Miami, FL
The NOC Support Specialist will:
Respond to, analyze, and resolve Cisco, Nortel, firewall network hardware, software and performance problems in a timely and accurate manner.
Troubleshoot and provision some Cisco Switches, Routers and Check Point Firewall appliances using P1 software.
Maintain multiple protocol environments including high-availability, distributed and clustered firewall configurations.
Interact with internal customers and external business partners to provide support on operational issues, new requests, and change alerts.
Analyze network traffic on firewalls using a variety of methods including, but not limited to, wireshark, sniffers, port scans, etc.
An understanding of current network and routing protocols including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, IPSec, and SSL.
Experience in firewall systems log review, anomaly identification, investigation, and event correlation.
Provide analytical and problem solving abilities.
Strong customer service skills.
Enterprise NOC experience preferred
Assist in the resolution of customer problems, issues, questions and concerns that are of a more routine nature, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
Provide technical expertise and system/network knowledge to support Customer Services efforts in researching customer problems, issues, and concerns.
Report line problems/outages to management and document troubles in ticketing system (REMEDY).
