The Middleware Administrator is responsible for the support, troubleshooting, administration and configuration of applications and services used for the production, QA and development environments.

Middleware Administrator KEY SKILLS:
- Heavy WebSphere or WebLogic administration (need to have some JBoss)
- 1-2 years administration of enterprise JBoss 7.x and JBoss 4.x servers
- Administration of J2EE servers (need to have)
- log4j administration, JDBC datasource administration and removing of extraneous components
- Apache and mod_jk load balancing
- Linux operating system tools, scripting tools, file permissions, resource provisioning, and troubleshooting in a virtual environment
- Proficiency with Java Virtual Machine tuning including configuration and real time monitoring of heap/non-heap sizing and garbage collection methodology
- Excellent Java EE troubleshooting skills
- Work closely with development teams to understand application changes and their impact on middleware services such as JDBC connection pools, security, logging and JVM memory
- Proficiency with Java EE application deployments and troubleshooting in a multi-server environment
